Our skid steer training course is a Nationally Recognised course that will give you the skills to operate a skid steer loader on a construction or building site. The skid steer course will also qualify you for jobs in earthmoving jobs in transport, mining and agriculture. This unit covers conducting skid steer operations in a variety of industries. It includes:
• planning and preparing
• conducting machine pre-operational checks
• operation of a dozer including stripping/spreading topsoil and materials, cut and fill, battering, stockpiling, bulk excavation, cutting drains, benching and backfilling
• selecting, removing and fitting attachments
• relocating the machine
• carrying out machine operator maintenance and cleaning up
